Migration from One PC to Another

Hello all,

Some what new to Channels DVR and still figuring things out. Of course in the process of doing so I had a computer crash and turns out the PC is toast. I tried to follow the steps to move my back up data since it was on external HD to the new PC which worked fine. However I cannot for whatever reason get the channels apps to pair to the IP address which is the same from the old to the new?

  1. Using Nvidia Shield as the Client
  2. Using a Windows 10 PC
  3. Exceeds minimum hardware requirements
  4. Followed the steps on making sure the first three series of numbers for the IP address on both the device and PC match which they do.

Not sure what I am doing wrong any help is greatly apprecaited.

Try turning off firewall on PC

Tried it and it sill doesn't work it is saying that error found a the IP Address.

I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall new rather then a backup but it denies me from doing so?

Anything else I can try? Or can you remove my IP address and let me fresh install?

got it fixed, it was bizarre just started working out of the blue.

Tip my hat to the Devs on how easy it is to move from one machine to another. I've done two moves in the past month - QNAP NAS to interim mini-PC (N95) to final mini-PC (Ryzen 7840hs). I can't believe how easy it was and how using the last backup to setup the next box got everything running exactly as it was and in minutes.
