“Mini Marathon” Virtual Channels sorting - unexpected behavior

I’m trying out the new “Mini Marathon” sorting referenced here with a virtual channel with 2 shows. While the guide does populate with alternating groups of 3 episodes per show, they aren’t in order. Instead, they are sorted like this…

1. Show 1 S01E01
2. Show 1 S02E01
3. Show 1 S03E01
4. Show 2 S01E01
5. Show 2 S02E01
6. Show 2 S03E01
7. Show 1 S04E01
8. Show 1 S05E01
9. Show 1 S06E01
10. Show 2 S04E01
11. Show 2 S05S01
12. Show 2 S06E01

… where instead of the episode numbers increasing, the season numbers cycle through first. Is anyone else seeing this? If not, I can submit logs.
