Minimal Mac Server

Will an Apple Mac Mini (Late 2014) - 4GB Memory - 1.4GHz Intel Core I5 be adequate to service an HDHomerun Duo and Channels DVR?

I'm running a 2012 i5 Mac Mini as a Channels DVR server with 2 x HDHR Quatros (8 tuners total) and TVE streams and it handles it fine. I've seen it doing 12 simultaneous recordings while also serving up live TV on some Apple TVs without difficulty. I do have more RAM, but that's a fairly easy upgrade if you need to do it.

This is the exact model I'm using. I basically use it in server mode (headless). I put in an internal 2TB drive for channels only and run the operating system off the internal ssd. I also run a Ubiquiti controller on the same system. I have no problems with it. Channels reports between 30-35% RAM free at all times. You can't upgrade the RAM in this model so I would recommend using it just for the dvr if possible and not your daily driver. My son is constantly using it remotely and it works fine for transcoding/remuxing also.

Just the kind of actionable responses I was hoping for. Thank you both.
