Any idea why I am missing channels? Using Fubo streaming and Game Show Network is missing from the lineup. I see that some channels are marked as unavailable for TVE, but GSN is missing entirely
Game Show Network uses DRM for their live feed, and it won't work in Channels.
(This has been addressed several times in the forums; please use the search before asking questions that have been answered.)
I'm sorry, but I did search and could not find anything that I thought explained what I was seeing.
Thanks!
I just searched again and could not find anything that matches what I was seeing. It's obviously not available for TVE, but why is that not identified in the lineup as is done for many other channels.
What do you mean? If it's not listed, it isn't supported. So what more do you want?
Welcome to the Forum.
Perhaps this is what you're looking for, in their support section.
Choose your provider and it lists which TVE channels you can get with Channels DVR
TV Everywhere Availability for Fubo
The Fubo lineup, Fubo Lineup lists all channels available from Fubo, and those that are not available to Channels are grayed-out and identified as "unavailable", but GSN is missing altogether. This is what caused my initial question. I did not know whether it was truly unavailable or it was a mistake/bug.
Since the channel in question has DRM on its feed, no streaming service would work for it, not compatible with Channels at all, so, I surmise that is why it is not even listed.
Just like local PBS stations that used to be, but are no longer supported by Channels due to DRM.

That's pretty stupid. How is a normal person supposed to know the whole DRM backstory?
If a channel isn't supported - for ANY reason - the helpful thing to do would be to list it as unsupported!
Or at least put a note that if a channel doesn't appear on the list then it's not supported. But then having channels grayed out as unsupported would be rundundant.
Consistency - it is kind of important. Pick one model and stick with it. Either list all the unsupported channels or don't. This kind of stuff is what sews necessary doubt and confusion with users. Good will is hard to earn and flushing it away on dumb inconsistencies like this is not how you gain and maintain adoption.
Also for YouTube TV Hallmark shows as unavailable but yet it's been working for the last 2-3 weeks since I first set channels up. How often are these lists updated? It would be nice if there was an "As of" date stamp at the top or bottom of each list.
It's not listed as supported, so the logical conclusion is that it is unsupported.
That page lists the channels that are supported. Those "greyed out" for a particular service means they are unsupported via that particular service.
You are the only individual seeing inconsistencies.
This thread would indicate otherwise - but sure. Carry on. The software and documentation are perfect and need no further improvement.
No one has ever stated as such. Are you saying you're going to volunteer to maintain the moving target? Yes? Thank you!
