'Missing' recordings

What would cause the situation where Channels DVR thinks there are recorded shows, but in fact the files do not exist? It is listing episodes within the recorded show list, but it can't play them since there are no actual recordings.

And is there a way to make Channels DVR re-index, or do I need to go through each 'ghost' show and manually delete it? At the moment I've manually deleted the 'ghost' shows.

I had a similar issue. Reboot your DVR device & it'll re-index when it starts again

Check your Log to see what happened when it tried to record those episodes. It's possible the entry was created in the db but then the file couldn't be created for some reason.

Looks like the logs don't go back far enough.

I'm running it on a Mac. Can I just choose restart from the Channels DVR menu item?

Not seeing anything to indicate an issue. I see entries for the recording of them, entries indicating that commercial markers were done correctly, and then the entries for the failed attempt to watch them. I guess it's possible I somehow deleted them manually (via the Finder), but I have no memory of that. I'll keep track if this happens again.
