MLB.TV for Channels

Hi guys,
I have channels-baseball running properly on my Synology however, starting to think that MLB is making stream changes.
I brought up a game on the MLB app and it played. I went to bring it up on channels and i found it was blacked out.
The app has some funky ads it plays when Ballys takes the commercial break. When i use channels, i simply see a slide that says "commercial break.
I believe the slide tells the system to insert ads or filler MLB great moment clips.

Thanks

Just for the record, after a lot of trial & error, but finally getting it to work from a clean start on a different Apple Silicon Mac, I did a bit of digging & figured out what the difference was: I had 'Use Rosetta for x86/amd64 emulation" turned on in the 'Features in Development' section. Turning that option off fixed the weirdness that I was seeing!

Poking @crackers8199. I'm going to second what rpaulmerrell is saying: I'm having trouble with the streams. Everything is showing "Off Air" for me, even when it's working fine in the MLB app. Tried waiting ~20 minutes to see if the cache gets cleared in the Channels side but no luck...

Even tried starting from scratch! Here's the logs from my first try at loading the Cubs game currently airing after a clean docker-compose:

Hi there,
I tuned into the Angels dodgers game today through the docker.
Streamed worked great and of course, the ads inserted didn't play but the beautiful page displayed a commercial break in progress.
The listing of available games appears to be working as expected from here.
The commercial inserts they are playing on the MLB app are just lame.
I don't mind the real stuff but those best player clips are kind of anooying.
Basically, we aren't missing anything on our end.
I appreciate all the hard work the community has done on all these docker projects. Great stuff!

It's been working great for me, too!

...except for the Cubs game which just came on! It's once again showing Off-Air on the Cubs feed. I checked their opponents (the Angels), along with the Red Sox, the Braves & a bunch of others and everything is working! ...except the Cubs! :sob: (Perhaps they changed the feed URL or something?)

Preseason is hit and miss. I remember we had issues like this until regular season started

Ah, OK! I wasn't around for preseason last year... Thanks for the info!

Is there any way for a Windows Channels DVR server to get baseball?

Sure as long as you use docker for the mlb container

I watched a Podres game today and was able to use the docker.
The MLB app and the docker use the same feed.
Arizona was doing the coverage.
I'm waiting for T-mobile to release the promo for MLB at the beginning of the season.
can't stand those ads they play on the APP i will agreen with anyone that says silence is golden.

just checking in here: sorry to anyone having issues, but i don't have a way to fix them at the moment. i'm waiting for the t-mobile offer (hopefully, anyway)...if it doesn't come i'll buy a subscription closer to opening day, but right now i'm in a holding pattern.

if i have some free time this weekend i'll see what i can do just using the free game(s) of the day, but i can't make any promises without a full subscription.

Any thoughts on adding MiLB games since they are (allegedly) included in the 2023 package?

I too am waiting to see what T-Mobile does this year. I did run across a deal on GovX for MLB TV - so if you are Military, Veteran, first responder or just a regular old government employee check it out before you buy from MLB - it saves ~$45.

Hi all,
I'm waiting for the t-mobile deal. My trial is about up.
Watched the Dodger and Podres game today along with the game yesterday without issue.

If I purchased a 1 year sub for you, would you be able to create a situation where Windows Channels DVR users could use this natively? I have no idea what "docker" is so I probably won't be using that.

No, its the same issue with all the other services that require docker, Pluto, Samsung, etc.

Google is your friend

I have no time for this. Is there anyone who would like to get paid to do this?

What kind of rate are you offering to pay?

hi there,
The docker stuff can get confusing. @Kryptonyte If you have a computer that can stay on all the time, I'm sure we could get the docker desktop up and set up all the channels-related stuff including MLB.
If you are someone who wants to setup docker on your Windows PC, check out the following link.

i'm happy to help in any way i can, but i'm not sure what you're wanting me to do...especially on windows it'd be easier to use docker than try to get a WAMP server set up to run this. the docker container is what runs the web server to authenticate with MLB and get the stream to provide it to channels.
