Not sure how that could possibly work having games on both apps to start the season only. What if someone pays for a year subscription to MLB.tv? Can you really hold them to that and force them to use the ESPN app if MLB.tv goes away?
I think âto startâ refers to the whole 2026 season as the start of the 2026-2028 ESPN contract with MLB. I donât think theyâd plan to change apps midseason.
I have not checked on Winter League games before today but the guide (http://my server ip:9999/guide.xml?mediaType=Video&includeTeams=winter) is not populating. Seeing this message in the browser:
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 54 at column 110: EntityRef: expecting ';'
and this in Channels log:
2025/11/24 12:25:43.969339 [DVR] Fetched guide data for XMLTV-Mlbserver in 12ms
2025/11/24 12:25:43.969631 [ERR] No stations available in lineup XMLTV-Mlbserver after guide data download: XML syntax error on line 54: invalid character entity &s (no semicolon)

I am running Version 2025.11.07
Thanks for your help!
Apparently it didn't like a character in one of the team logo URLs. I fixed it in the 2025.11.24 update publishing now.
Tony, my friend, the Caribbean Series started today. I see the links but they don't open. Is there any way to activate them?
I think Caribbean Series games are only on MLB Network, not MLBTV.
If your subscription doesnât already include MLB Network, I think you can add it at $6/month.
Pretty much a non issue involving this container but an issue for the subscription:
You might need espn unlimited to subscribe to mlb.tv. If you dont already have it on cable (might exclude youtube tv subscribers since they stated mlb.tv aint included with the deal but we will see) its $180/season now.
I think disney could be sued for this since your forced to get a different subscription to get mlb.tv and no other alternatives exist (they removed amazon prime video one too) when lots of folks just want mlb.tv and not espn unlimited.
Well with ESPN handling the out of market games, they could easily move it all to ESPN unlimited.
We will know here very shortly.
The mlb app could be easily re-directed to espn resources.
This isn't good but sort of expected.
Let's wait for things to plaly out.
Looks like its only available to pay on espn app meaning eplustv, mlb.tv will need to implement a login.
F Disney and their stupid drm.
Edit: jumped the gun its still watchable on mlb but have to pay disney.
The bigest question? will there be DRM on the mlb app
hoping we can contineu to redeem the offer like before on apple.
Huh? I just bought the $99 Mariners TV pass on MLB.tv and used my old MLB login without a whiff of ESPN.
The only exception to not paying thru espn is the following:
- single team packages
- in market teams that are available.
- mlb+
I just got my MLB.tv renewal notice, but even if everything else stays the same, isn't MLB's newly required 2FA going to break this container?
You can choose to use password to identify yourself.
i'm more concerned about if they will add DRM.
Just in case MLB does go DRM this year, FruitDeepLinks is able to scrape the AtBat schedule and deeplink/streamlinks work. We'll just have to wait and see what happens!
It may be too soon, but I tried loading a stream for an active game through Channels and I'm getting a "The media could not be loaded" error.
What docker are you using?
eplustv has an update.
I think mlbserver will need to be updated.
mlbserver
Make sure your team is streaming.
I just tried San diego Padres and it is working.
Check to make sure ou have the latest version of mlbserver.
He did an update during windoer ball.
He entioned that the api for mlb.tv as changed.
I've noticed it crashes after a bit.
if possible grab eplustv and use that container.
The new update was pushed about 7 hours ago.
Orioles channel working great for me through mlb server. Thank you for keeping up this project!
