Mlb.tv update

The mlbserver docker container should be updated any time there is a change made to it to ensure compatibility. tonywagner updates this thread to announce any updates he has made. I am not sure how to update using your setup as I don't use a Synology for my containers.

On the channels DVR side it should be set and forget.

Glad you got it working.

FWIW, I understand that EPlusTV can also provide guide data for SNY, in addition to a stream. But Channels DVR's native guide data is likely best.

I see that all the streams show a video of a rabbit, what could be causing that error?

You have “scan mode” turned on, so it just returns a demo stream for any request.

Go to the mlbserver web interface and toggle it off. It’s at the top of the “Live Channel Playlist, XMLTV Guide, ICS Calendar” box.

The World Baseball Classic games start tonight, will we be able to watch them, friend?

In the United States, the 2026 WBC is broadcast by FOX Sports, not MLB.TV. The games are shown on:
• FOX
• FS1
• FS2
• FOX Deportes (Spanish)
• FOX Sports App / FOX One
• Tubi (some games)

Don’t know about Fox One via EPlusTV

I turned on scan mode to confirm my testing and all I’m seeing is this on channels

I confirmed my m3u link and it’s hls-stream works fine in vlc

Any idea

i've turned off scan mode and used this url

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="mlb.bal.yesterday.skip" tvg-name="Orioles Yesterday (Skip Pitches)" group-title="MLB",Orioles Yesterday (Skip Pitches)
http://10.1.1.136:9999/stream.m3u8?team=BAL&date=yesterday&resolution=best&skip=pitches

And it plays fine in mpv and vlc and completely nothing in channels

Gives the same error

And I see the request in mlbserver logs

If Im reading this right, mlb+ is now included with MLB.TV

Does the tonywagner/mlbserver support MLB Network out of curiosity?

Yes, mlbserver does support access to MLB Network as well as radio broadcasts as alternative audio for games.

Okay works fine when its a real live game

I guess channels doesn't like vod wrapped in m3u8

Thanks for the great container

i used the tonywagner/mlbserver app last year and loved it. With the mlb.tv change to ESPN is there any changes or issues in the tonywagner/mlbserver app?

No changes so far.

If you subscribe through ESPN, you just have to link your subscription to a MLB account to continue using it in mlbserver: ESPN: How do I activate or link an MLB.TV subscription on ESPN?

Yeah i bought masn and waiting for my tmobile mlbtv sub and orioles is working great

Question - on the mlb app i get the actual masn channel - any way for that to show up in the mlbserver?

That should be possible, with an update. I will try to PM you for some more info.

Any plans for including those on Eplus too? I may get Marlins.tv when the Yankees play against them so it would be nice to use that with it

Update: MASN live stream now available (for MASN+ subscribers) in the 2026.3.15 update to mlbserver.

MarlinsTV is just the games, and mlbserver and EPlusTV should already include them if you subscribe. No linear network available like MASN.

Thank you so much tony - works great - just forced it to masn gracenote

Looks like the T-Mobile Free MLB.TV will be available to sign up for again via the T-Life app starting 3/24 through 3/30, based on what is showing in that app now.
