Mlb.tv update

Whether I use a zipcode or not doesn't matter (I have tried both ways), Arizona is always the one channel not included in the m3u. I have a local AZ only package for mlb.tv. I have no issues on the older (but updated) plugin.video.mlbserver, only on the newer mlbserver.

Is there a way to get my favorite teams moved to the top of the guide?

Yeah just use a channel collection

I think I know the issue. plugin.video.mlbserver uses your account info (if available) when it does the blackout lookup, so it can accurately reflect your in-market subscription, but the old mlbserver does not — it’s just a generic lookup.

I will try to push a fix soon.

Edit to add: in the meantime, adding “&includeBlackouts=true” to the M3U and XML URLs will allow you to pull the AZ games, and you should be able to play them since your account allows it.

Thanks @tonywagner! Yep, this fixed the issue. You actually have a note about this when I dug into the browser interface of the server. Thanks again!

Does no one else have issues with Yankees and Mets broadcasts? All other Teams work fine for me but any games with either the Mets or Yankees don't work. In CDVR, the logs show Output file does not contain any stream and in TiViMate it says UnrecognizedInputFormatException.

Finally, in this plugin's web interface if I choose the live stream it just shows a black screen with the time line moving (like if there is just audio playing and no video) and if I go to Today's Games and select a live Yankee or Met game and get the screen to select which feed to play, I only see radio feeds to choose from and none of the TV ones.

It's like the TV feeds aren't being parsed/presented to user to utilize for those two teams. All other teams appear to have TV feeds and work fine for me on all my devices.

Also, it's not a blackout issue as I'm not in NY and I can watch those games via EPlusTV method just fine from where I'm at and through the official MLBTV app and website.

They work fine for me... you might try factoring out tvmate to see if thats the issue. the docker direct to CDVR has been working flawlessly for me.

TiViMate gets the feed through CDVR so even factoring out both TiViMate and CDVR and just using the plugins Web interface I only get radio feed choices for those two teams for some reason.

I'm using version 2024.9.11+omega.1 on Python 3.11.7 of the plugin.video.mlbserver through Docker in Windows if that makes a difference. On the same machine I have another Docker instance running for EPlusTV and those two teams work fine through that method. Weird I don't have issues with the other 28 Teams either as they work unless they're playing the Yankees or Mets.

Never mind. I've figured out what it was. Stupid me forgot I have a VPN on set to come out of Miami and once I disabled it, NY TV feeds show up/work now. Odd it only affected those two NY Video feeds and none of the other Teams. Oh well, user error. LOL. Problem rectified.

@tonywagner Appreciate your work on MLBserver! Apologies if I should ask this question elsewhere. I’ve used MLBServer for half the season and it’s worked flawlessly. Now for the postseason games, do,I just need to purchase that package and it will automatically pull in only the postseason games? Just wondering how this will work for ALDS and NLCS. Thanks!

Wouldn't it make sense to use TVE and HDHR for that instead? The games are on FS1, TBS and FOX. The only advantage of using mlb.tv is the audio overlay feature...and that's about it

No need to purchase any new MLBTV package for the postseason — all active full teams MLBTV subscriptions continue to work for the postseason (they just rebrand them as a “postseason package”).

That said, blackouts still apply, and all postseason games have a live video blackout in the USA and Canada since they are all national broadcasts there.

Good luck!

And not having the annoying commercials.

Oh ok. So this isn’t necessary if I’ve had a full sub for all teams the entire season? Glad I asked and thanks for the help!

It appears that the postseason MLBTV feeds still have the network commercials.

The Dominican Baseball League is broadcast on MLB TV, is there a way to add those games to the container?

I had Dominican Winter League (LIDOM) working in mlbserver a couple years ago. Season starts on Oct. 16. I'll try to push an update to GitHub - tonywagner/mlbserver around that time.

Not for me

Must have just been the ABC/ESPN games from earlier this week — you can still see the commercials in them if you watch the archived streams.

postseason games are not currently viewable, right? only audio?
