Just installed the DVR Docker and it seems to be working fine. However, recordings default to going into a “TV” folder regardless of the root pointer. How can I get the recordings to go into the root folder I designate? My reason is that I have a “TV Shows” share which includes all of my recorded shows in the root. If I point the DVR at that folder for recordings it will add them to “TV” in there instead of just putting them into the root.
How can I change this? Thanks!
There is no way to change this. The DVR stores much more than just the recordings in its path, so its important to give the DVR a dedicated directory. Inside it’s DVR directory, the software will create a TV folder, Movies folder, as well as Database, Logs, Images and other folders for metadata.
So under the Docker settings for Channels DVR, I am reading the following:
/shares: This is where the DVR recordings are stored.
/channels-dvr: This is where the DVR application and configuration is stored.
But when in the ChannelsDVR setup admin page, I am being asked for a storage location to store recordings.....isn't that already determined on the docker?! If I specify somewhere else in the Channels admin page, does that mess things up?
