Most of my Recordings are Gone

I cannot explain this one.

I haven't been on my DVR much, lately, but when I went to watch a recording of Riduculousness, last week, I noticed that there were about 100 unwatched episodes missing. I didn't have much time to look then, but I am looking now and I see many of my passes have missing episode or all the episodes are completely gone...example, I had 20+ episodes of NCIS and 15+ episodes of Alaska: The Last Frontier...now neither of them have any episodes in the folder.

Last I checked, I had used about 30% of the space on a 4TB drive. Now it shows I have only used 2.9%...so, I have lost 90% of my recordings.

How does this happen?

Can you review the log in the DVR web ui to see if there are any indications it’s removing anything?

I did not think of that, but the log only goes back about 3 days, so I cannot find most of them, but I did find the following, from this morning...nobody was home during these times.

I don't see any indicators as to what device triggered these deletions.

This is frustrating.

I just submitted the entire log as well:

What are the retention settings on those passes?

strange then. All I can think of is that they were automatically deleted from Trash at the time logged after put there from a client device on a previous day.

Well, this mystery has been solved. It was my wife!

Claimed she didn't think she had deleted anything, but I asked again, this evening, and she said "well, nothing recent, I just deleted out all of the old stuff, because ''it'' was full". "It" was the Firestick...she didn't know the difference between it and the dvr server.

Oh well.

Sorry for the false alarm...thought I had a ghost.
