Move database to internal SSD rather than have it on external HDD

Hi, by default channels seems to put the database where the DVR records go, but I'd rather have it on my internal ssd instead. If that's possible how do I go about it? Thanks.

At the moment you can't ... I see why they have it on the recording drive for quick and easy recovery. That way if you lose the main system drive and you have the DB and Recordings on another drive it is as simple as attaching drive to another like system and do a Restore.

On the other hand if the device fails you are out your database, backups, and recordings. Other apps (like Roon) let you set a backup target so the user can control where the backups go.
Anyway, would be great to be able to put the database wherever I'd like...
Thanks.

I currently use Windows 11 for my server. The developers suggested making a link to another drive and folder. So I used the mklink cmd to link my Steaming folder from my external HDD to a folder on my internal SSD. I use HLS much of the time watching live TV, and the streaming folder holds the temporary HLS files which are constantly being written and read. I wasn't necessarily having any problems with the HLS files on my HDD, but thought it may help under some circumstances.

That's incorrect.

The Database folder only contains backups.

The working database is in ~/Library/Application Support/ChannelsDVR

Oh!
Well, certainly not obvious from the interface (where it lists the database location as the dvr drive) but glad it's already sorted and the DB is on fast storage.
I think I'll do the symlink trick to move the streaming folder over to the ssd too. Thanks Michael Birk...
