Move DVR to Linux Mint

Greetings
Currently, i have my ChannelsDVR setup on Windows 11, is it possible to move my setup to Linux Mint?
Do I have to purchase another DVR subscription?
Can i move my recordings ot have to start all over again?

Unless you're already using Linux Mint (which is a desktop OS) for some reason, using a Linux server OS would be a better choice. I'd recommend Debian (with no desktop installed) first, and Ubuntu Server second. You'll find a server OS is much better suited to operate as a server than a desktop OS.

thank you for the advice. I'm already using Mint, but I can change, but I'm not well versed in Linux OS. I just want to get far away for Microsoft 11 as fast as I can. Tired of the bloat, AI crap and download changes and policies that are never explained and difficult to fix.

They're actually making a pretty concerted effort to do away with a lot of the bloat and AI crap. I'm actually quite impressed with the initiative Microsoft has put forward lately, not to say that they're perfect. I believe they're calling it Project K2.

They spent a lot of money adding the AI bloat. Now they are spending money to remove the AI bloat.

It is their judgement that everyone should question, not their efforts to clean up bad judgements made.
