I want to move my existing recordings to a new location (Disk Array). Is this possible?
I assume more than just copying the files is necessary.
If it’s the same server, just move the files and update the server to point to the new directory. Uncheck the DVR box, update the path and check it again.
I moved my recording from an internal drive on my Mac to a Drobo. I updated the location, recycled my Mac, and now I can’t play the recorded files. Any thoughts?
I’m moving the files back to my internal drive because of the following:
2017/02/15 18:25:50 [SYS] Started HTTP Server
2017/02/15 18:25:51 [DVR] Recording engine started in /Volumes/MPS001/TV

2017/02/15 18:25:51 [DVR] Waiting 4m8.089540637s until next job 1487201400-18
2017/02/15 18:25:51 [DVR] Error running job 1487199600-18: mkdir /Volumes/MPS001/TV: permission denied
2017/02/15 18:25:51 [ERR] Could not create backup: mkdir /Volumes/MPS001/TV: permission denied
I see where the folders are confused. I point to /Volumes/MPS001/TV and it seems the new files are going into /Volumes/MPS001/TV/TV.
Also now the playback stutters.
There also seems to be some sort of permission issue on your drive.
If playback is stuttering, it might be because the new drive is slower and not able to keep up.
