Move individual videos

Hello! I know there are already a lot of posts with similar questions to this, but I couldn't find my exact question.

Is there a simple way to move my imported video files from one directory to another without losing the custom metadata I added to it? I'm not looking to move files to another hard drive and use additional storage. I basically just want to change the directory structure of my personal videos within the current hard drive.

(I know, I know, why bother moving them at all! I added some of my movies to Channels when I first started using the program so I could fully test the features. Now I'm ready to move all my movies over to Channels but I already have them in a directory structure I like. Once I import those movies, I'd prefer to just move the movies I originally added into their new "correct" directory rather than re-import them and redo the metadata. I know I could just leave them as is, but I really like having my personal videos organized!)

There is no way to do this currently.

I completely understand why. This is more of a user problem than a technical issue!

Thanks for the reply.

Until they allow editing of imported content paths (On the roadmap?).

You can create symbolic directory links inside the DVR's Imports/Movies, Imports/TV and Imports/Videos directories that point to where your local content is.

The plus side to that setup is if you migrate your server and move the existing `Imports' directory to the new one, they should still work.
