I'm recording Earth Girls are Easy from a Samsung Plus custom channel. I see the recording is listed as a TV show in the DVR. Normally I could use a fix incorrect match to fix the metadata but I do not know if this will work if I am looking to change the recording from a TV show to a Movie. Is there a way to manually override this metadata? If not I can move the file to an import movie folder.
This is a limitation of that source. It does not tag movies as movies, so there's nothing Channels can do about it. Garbage in, garbage out.
What you should do it, move the recorded video to movies directory and use Local Content to import it back in. Then Channels will know it's a movie. Then trash the original recording.
We have plans to let you change the content type eventually, but it's very tricky and it's not something that's been started yet.
