Movie descriptions truncated when displayed -- how to expand?

When viewing local content listings on the Apple TV app, lengthy descriptions are truncated with an ellipsis (...) and I don't see any way to expand it to display all of the text. Am I missing something? Or is this not possible? If not possible, then this is a feature request to add it.

You are not missing anything. There is presently no way to display the full long description if the client truncates it. (Other apps usually allow you to select the text description to display an overlay with the full text, but this is not the case in Channels.)

I know I have personally commented on this specific issue as one of Channels' UX issues that needs to be addressed several times.
