Movie Library Creation - Multiple Versions Of The Same Movie

I'm in the process of ripping 300+ DVDs and BluRays to create a Movie/TV Show Library. I've come across a couple of movies now that have more than one version on the discs. For example, INDEPENDENCE DAY (Five Star Collection) comes with both the theatrical release and the extended release.

Can I keep both movies in the same ID4 Folder, or will I need to put them in separate folders (ID4 Theatrical Release & Extended Release) so Channels recognizes both of them as different versions of the same movie? My current structure is a single folder per title, with subfolders for Featurettes, Deleted Scenes, Trailers, etc. The movies sit in the Title folder along with poster/fan art.

Others' experiences and recommendations appreciated!

I believe you can have them in the same folder if they have different file names. Just drop one sample in and see how channels behavies.

You could make the extended edition a bonus feature of the theatrical edition (or vice versa if you prefer). Since you're using the subfolders option you would maybe just have a folder titled "Other" or "Extras" inside your Independence Day folder, then put "Extended Edition.mp4" in there.

Now the film only shows up once is your library, but there is an option to watch the other version on it's page.
