Quite often on some of the custom channels, Movies will be listed among Shows and Events for that channel. Most Movies will be listed as Movies as expected. The movie will be Series 1, Episode 1 and the icon for "Create Pass" will appear when selecting that movie to record. Although this is not a hot issue, the result is that a movie that is recorded like this will be stored as a Show and not a Movie.
The example I am seeing now is on Plex Channel 12997 "At the Movies by WB". At the time of this posting, there are 10 movies listed as Shows, 3 movies listed as both "Events" and "Movies" and 20 movies as "Movies".
It's the bad guide data from the source. Nothing the developers can do to fix it.
Just move them to your Movie Imports directory if you want to keep them as movies.
Yep. Custom Channels can only be as good as the metadata included with them.
This station (and many, many more) is available with a Gracenote ID, so it will get real, better, longer, and more reliable guide data (with the correct tagging you are looking for) if you use the Gracenote Playlist as a source.
You should have one source for the Gracenote ones, and another for the "No Gracenote" ones.
This is the first I've read of SLM. I will look at the setup instructions and see how far I can get in the installation.
I have docker instances for Portainer, Plex and Pluto on my Linux system but I don't yet have OliveTin installed.
Thanks!
SLM is an expansive and impressive project. (Wow) I've already installed OliveTin and reinstalled Portainer. SLM will be my next step. Thanks for all time you've put into this.
