Movies in proper directory, but not showing up

I have recorded several movies within Channels. They appear to be in the proper directory on my Mac, but don't show up as options to watch in my Channels app. For instance, in this screenshot:

"Frosty" shows up as an option to watch in Channels, but the following three films do not. If I open the folders shown, the movie files are there. If I click on the files, I can watch them. I just can't get them to appear in Channels.

I have tried rebuilding my directory; that did not help.

Any ideas?

Movies typically go into the Movies folder, not TV.

Your guide data is not marking movies correctly, so they will appear under tv shows in Channels

Thank you. The problem is that they don't show up under TV Shows in Channels. In fact, they don't show up anywhere in my library. Not under movies, not under television. They are in the physical folder with my other shows, but they do not show up in my Channels library. Do you have any thoughts on how I can fix that? I appreciate your help.

What source are you recording them from?
Was it recorded from a pass or a manual recording?
Did you try searching for the Title in Channels DVR?
Look in the DVR log when the recording occurred for more info.

What does that mean?

They were recorded from the same source in the exact same manner as the other recordings that show up. I appreciate your questions, but I'm less interested in why it happened and more interested on where I can move these files/what I need to do to get them to show up in Channels. They are there — just like the other files (and they play fine if I click on them in my Mac hard drive folders) — I just can't see them in any directory within Channels.

Then move them to your local content import directory

To Imports/Movies/

Okay, I’ll try to figure out how to do that. I’ve never done anything except record within Channels and watch what I have recorded. Thanks for the help!

Thanks! I’ll try that.

You should also check the DVR Trash to see if they're in there.
DVR web UI Library > Trash
If they are you can just retore them

Thank you. I'm well aware of how to move files on a Mac. I just didn't know where to move them to.

FYI -- this did not help. I moved them to this location and they are still not showing up anywhere within Channels. I'm just going to cut my losses here. It seems unfixable. I do appreciate your efforts to help.

In the end, I just moved these files into their own folder on the server and added it as another source, which worked. The metadata was screwy, but Channels provides a very elegant solution for correcting it. Thanks again for all your help.
