I have recently recorded several movies and they are residing in the TV Shows library now instead of Movie library. What would cause this and how do I move them?
Whichever guide provider you are using is classifying them as episodes rather than movies.
You need to move them in your "Personal Media" following the file naming guidelines.
(Of course, sometimes this is the actual expected result. One specific example is Hallmark Mystery movies, as they are often classified as a series with each movie being an episode belonging to specific "show", much like a collection of books following a particular character.
Of course, frequently data from FAST sources are woefully inadequate and usually do not include sufficient guide information, and are therefore not listed as a movie.)
Ok thanks. I moved them to Movie folder under Personal Media.
Now Movie folder shows each one I moved as two entries. Only one works.And in the original folder, old entry still showing as TV Show (doesn't work).
How long does it take for the old entry and and duplicates to purge themselves? Is there a manual option to clear them?
That's not automatic.
Yes. Just go to the TV shows in the library and click on the red "Trash" button.

What exactly did you do? What exactly are you seeing in your library?
