Moving and reorganizing folders and data

My Channels server on my Synology that I had been using for years died. I downloaded and installed the latest version but when I tried to use restore it failed and the directory structure it installed under ChannelsDVR was different from my old installation folder, Media.
My existing TV shows are in a folder under root/Media/TV/PlayOn/TV but I cannot find a way to tell the server where to look because the add source will not allow me to add sub folders.so my browser does not show any TV Shows.
I am trying to see if copying all my show will work but I am confused because the new installation has a import folder and no TV folder so I'm sure where I'm supposed to copy my folder to.
What is the file structure of a new installing that uses Playon as a source?
Will the server recognize files and folder that I copy over or do I need to add a list somewhare?

Did you use the backup restore feature?

You shouldn't need to set up any paths if you pick a database.

What steps did you take exactly?

Sounds like he was running on DSM 6 and upgraded to DSM 7.
Probably just needs to give directory permission to the Synology System Internal User channels for his recording folder using the Channels DVR DSM 7 package install. https://getchannels.com/dvr-server/#synology

I assume root/Media/TV/PlayOn/TV is really volume1/Media/TV/PlayOn/TV
If so, he just needs to give Synology System Internal User channels permission to volume1/Media
