Hi,
After about 7 months I'm finally moving my "test" channels implementation off my main windows PC to a Lenovo PC that I've loaded Ubuntu on. I did the move tonight and I noticed that all my sources were not there after I did the database restore(from a backup about 2 hours ago). I was missing both my HD homeruns and my rstp connection to my security camera. I noticed that the install was a version from I believe September so I updated the server to the 2020.12.02.1531 and re-ran the restore. The camera showed up but still no HD Homeruns. It won't be a problem for me to manually add those back but I was wondering if everything is supposed to be restored and is it common to have things missing after the restore. Also, will I have to go through and rehide the channels that I don't want to show up and set up my favorites? TIA
Hdhomerun settings will be restored but it won't show up until it can be found on the network.
Thanks. I just added it manually. Could be because I had Bonjour turned off.
Well, this reared its head again today. Looks like the server did an upgrade this afternoon at 14:49 and when it restarted it did not redetect my 2 HDHR's. I noticed this evening when I had a failed recording because there wasn't a tuner found. This became an issue when I moved over to Ubuntu 20.04 from Win10 last week. When it didn't detect them when I moved the server, I just added them manually. Are there firewall settings specific to the discovery that I need to open?
The software is still running on my windows pc and I had unchecked enable bonjour and the dvr setting (I thought). I just looked and noticed that the dvr setting is checked again, bonjour is unchecked. It did an upgrade yesterday morning as well. It did detect the 2 HDHR devices. There had been no log, recording or backups since the 2nd. Maybe the server update re-enabled the dvr or maybe it was a PC reboot. Would that make the Linux dvr not be able to detect the hdhrs or can they coexist? I was just keeping it around till I made sure the new box was going to work. I sent a diagnostic log 4b11aa9c-2c8e-471f-a562-be852377349d. Thanks
