Moving Library/Local Content to a new drive

Apologies if this is already answered, but I couldn't find the solution.

I moved my Library recordings (ripped discs, etc.) to a new drive, added the new directories to the Local Content, removed the old directories… and lost all my metadata, the collections, maybe my virtual channels…

I believe I have a backup of the database, but is there any good way to recover this info?

When I eventually do this again, is there a good way to migrate like this, aside from copying the drive name and exact path to the content?

There’s currently no way to move content to a new path without re-importing the content.

Only way I know to make Channels DVR think they're still in the same location is to create symbolic links that look like the old location but point to the new location. If you're running Channels DVR in a container, just change the container volume mappings, otherwise depends on your OS how to setup symbolic links.
