Moving server from PC to Pi 4 Questions

I currently have my channels DVR server running on my PC (that I also use daily). I want to consider moving it off of my PC and setup a Pi 4 with a nice large drive attached.

PC - i7-4790 CPU @3.60GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.

I do watch away from home quite often and need to make sure that if transcoding is needed that the Pi can handle it. Id say right now there is a chance of 4 simultaneous away streams at once, but not often. Can the Pi only handle 1 transcoding? What should I consider in this switch? Are there any disadvantages or advantages that anyone could share with me?

Correct. Only 1 stream can be transcoded at a time on the Pi. If remote streaming is required, you would be better served with different hardware. (Probably something with discrete Nvidia graphics might serve you better.)
