Moving server to NAS, but pointing to same path question

Hey Guys, so I first installed the Server on my pc, and the path for my recordings was a folder on my Qnap. Now, I've installed the server on my Qnap, and I designated the same folder on the Qnap, so all the recordings are still there. I then go to my clients and manually change the IP to the new address on the NAS. But my library and recordings are empty, it also says I have no season passes.

Is there any way to import all the data from the old windows server to the Nas, so I can just pick up where I left?

The support documents can be helpful:

Thank you! If you actually go to the DVR folder and copy and paste it to the new location, does that accomplish the same thing as saving the DVR database in the settings?

Also, I'm not quite sure what Bonjuor does, but in reading about multiple servers and stuff, I see people advising to turn it off. My plan is to have one server on the PC with a storage folder in the PC. Another server install on my NAS, with the storage folder within the NAS. So basically 2 different systems and ip addresses. In my situation... do I need to turn off Bonjour?

You have to use http://x.x.x.x:8089/restore with the IP of the QNAP dvr to restore the old database.

I don't need everything to be exact on the new server. But I'm realizing that if i simply copy and past a recording, for example Seinfeld, it doesn't show up. So then I figure it's because I haven't started a season pass on the new server. So I create a season pass for Seinfeld. Then I copy and pasted the Seinfeld folder from the old server to the new one. The recordings still don't show up. So copying and pasting won't work? Recordings have to be from scratch sorta speak?

You can import existing recordings using the local content feature. But to be part of the recording database, "cut and paste" won't work. That is why the restore feature is there.

All right. I'm figuring some things out. Using the wizard... after choosing the latest database, it still ask me where do I want to store my recordings, but I learned that if you change this path, your playback will fail. But now that the season passes and all the settings are transferred, copying and pasting of the recordings will work. The files then do show up, and they play. This is great! Instead of starting over with no content on the new server.

Reason is I'm setting up two separate servers with separate storage paths. One for PC, and one for NAS. So when one fails, I can still watch with the other.

BTW, what can cause a series to NOT record? From the beginning, Twilight Zone has never recorded for me. Set to ALL RECORDINGS, KEEP ALL RECORDINGS, but it has never recorded, and never shows up on the schedule to record either. They do show up on the upcoming episodes, but there is never a recording indication next to it. Many episodes are on MeTV and SyFy. I just manually press record.

Under YOUR PASSES in the settings, all my season passes have a certain number of episodes scheduled. Only Twilight Zone shows a blank.

Was this a pass you made from the guide or an advanced one in the web ui?

I got fixed with Channels tech support. I don't think we were able to pinpoint exactly what happened. But tech also thought that may have something to do with it. I don't recall where I created the original pass, on the web ui or in the guide. So I deleted the pass and made sure to create another one in the guide. That didn't work.. Nothing seemed to work until I decided to trash all the recordings, and deleted the Twilight Zone folder inside the TV folder. I also updated Channels DVR beta to the latest firmware. Then I went back and created the pass again on the client and now it works. So we can't pinpoint what exactly caused the issue.
