On all TVs using Firestick 4K, I suddenly started getting black screen with “Playback failed” although watching live. Switching to Sling, these stations work there. Other Sling channels work on Channels DVR. Sent diagnostics. Have reset server, a Mac, and restarted Firestick.
I think others have experienced this issue. I believe something changed and the Devs had to do an update to fix it. Try upgrading to the prerelease and see if it starts working.
Thanks for the suggestion of using the pre-release upgrade. It worked partially. MSNBC now works although some others from Sling still have the playback error.
