Multi epg source

Playing around with custom channels (iptv sources)

Is there a way to link more then 1 EPG to a source.

Reason: I Have the provided epg that comes with my m3u playlist. However it doesn't match all the channels. I also have a separate paid epg (epg.best) service. I'd like to somehow have both epg sources on 1 custom channel. I'm not sure ifvthis is technically possible or a pipe dream.

So can I somehow link multiple epg to one source?

My current work around is to split my m3u into separate playlist. Primary m3u playlist that uses my paid epg source. Then a separate m3u playlist that uses the provided epg from my m3u provider. This current method is tedious as fuck.

Not really, but the XMLTV project has a tool as part of their utilities called tv_merge that takes two XMLTV files and merges them into a single file:

I'll check that out. To bad there's no docker. Lol. I get spoiled by docker.

I'll toy with it tonight and see if I can get it working.

On a side note. I think I made to many custom channels this weekend.

I have 3 custom m3u each over 400 listing. I don't know why I'm doing this. I only watch like 5 TV stations.

I think i just like tinkering.

It's a simple perl script; Docker is crazy overkill for running a single script.
