So I live between two major cities one is about 15 miles closer than the other. One city is to the west and the other is to the east about 180 degrees apart. I use two outdoor antennas to pick up all the channels. However, this means I get two channels for ABC, FOX, NBC, and CBS. Which is nice since sometimes when it rains or snows the closer one comes in better. I am new to Channels and I was wondering how does channels DVR determine which broadcast to record? When you search for a show to record it does not give you an option to specify which channel to use. Is it going to default to the broadcast with the best reception?
Thanks!
I have a setup like this. I live in Baltimore and can also get DC channels. Also have 2 antennas. The DVR will record to favorite channels first if the same show is airing on both at the same time. Then, it will go through the tuners in priority order. So I have a setup where the HDHR for my Baltimore channels is top priority and HDHRs for DC are lower. Most stuff is on the Baltimore tuners, unless a show specifically only airs on a DC channel... or I run out of tuners on the Quattro... but that rarely happens.
Basically, you need to set up your priorities yourself.
If you only have 1 HDHR, then it requires a bit more work. You would need to edit all your passes to include the Channel you want to record.
