Multiple recording directories with ability to route program to one or other

I don't think this is currently a feature (but I would be happy if there is a way of doing it).

Is there a way to specify 2 directories to record new programs to and select which programs are recorded in each directory?

Use case: I have a number of programs I record daily (news) and they overwrite yesterdays. When I am away (house in Italy) I would like to have those programs sync from my US-NAS to my Italy-PC (overnight while I am sleeping) so I can watch them the next day without any stuttering (my US internet is cable and my upload bandwidth limited (10MB/sec but it can degrade if there is load on the cable). I can work around by just syncing those folders for those programs but ut would be easier the other way. Thanks

There is not, and it's not something we'd be doing any time soon.

I would suggest you use synchronizing software that lets you selectively sync by folder names. Then you would have the freedom to whitelist which things to sync.

Any good sync software will let you do this kind of thing.

Thanks - I thought not but there are so many features/capabilities in Channels that I don't know about so I thought I would check. Qsync will let me sync by folder.
