I just transitioned channels to an Intel NUC that I had laying around (ubuntu server is the OS). It has a 2TB ssd and a 5TB traditional hard drive. I want to use both drives to store recordings.
The way I understand this is I can add both mounts to the storage path in the webui. The primary recording path (2TB SSD) will be used for all recordings. I then will have to manually copy recordings from the 2TB ssd to the 5TB drive and channels will not require any reconfiguration to pick up on the new path.
I am going to write a script that will copy any recordings that are older than 30 days to the 5TB drive using rsync. Then I will delete them off of the ssd so they only exist on the 5TB drive.
Any issues with this plan?
