So I think I have an issue that I'm hoping someone can help with. When I look under DVR-->Passes, I have multiple passes for a TV show. Yet Iwhen I look st the actual recorded files, it appears all the recordings from the multiple passes appear in one folder (which is good).
My question is, is there a way to delete the extra passes without the actual recordings being deleted, leaving with with just one pass under the DVR?
How do I combine things xo the database sees all the recordings under one tv show?
Just delete the extra passes. It won't affect any recordings.
Ok, I can delete the extra passes, but when I look under Genre in my client, I see multiple versions of the TV show. How do I get the database to see all the episodes under one show?
Hard to say without more details about what show and what source. Are the various passes all for the same series id?
Thanks for putting up with all these questions. I'm still fairly new at this. So two of the passes are the same series id. So you are saying I can delete one of those with out any problems.
The other copy is a different series id. Is there a way to tie those different series ids together, or am I better off deleting the one series id that doesn't have as many episodes? Then let the one series id eventually fill in the missing episodes?
I've found that if I setup a pass for a show that appears on normal TV and also set one of for the same show on something like Pluto, it has a different ID number and won't show up in the some place, and requires separate season passes. Not really a Channels issue, it's the different guides that have different IDs for the shows.
This is all speculation on my part, if it's not true, I'd love to hear what is true.
