Remote my.channelsdvr.net will not work. Port forwarding is working as I can access the site manually with my IP address but when using the reverse proxy you guys provide I cant... I did have another dvr at another IP could it be cached and still trying to go there?
Try turning remote access off and back on.
I have tried that several times. I even spun back up the old server and turned off remote access before shutting the server back down.
It just worked. Thanks!
I am having the same issue, but I am not able to even get my port 8089 open. However, when I am home on the same network, I still cant access my DVR at all. I am running it off a QNAP NAS, so as of now, although viewed TV at home works, I can't access any settings and when trying to access remotely, I get the page saying that 8089 needs to be forwarded. It was working fine up until last week, then all of a sudden it seems 8089 forwarding is an issue. Any thoughts?
Can you open http://192.168.1.173:8089 at home?
What does it show in the Remote Access settings area?
No, I cant access that page. Although I have my Fios route set to open that port, I cant open that page, so therefore I have no access to the remote access settings a area.
That is supposed to work in your home. It doesn't matter what you set your router to, since that's only for external access.
Sounds like the DVR is not running on your NAS, or your NAS IP changed.
Can you open http://192.168.1.173 and load your QNAP?
If you open your QNAP does it show the DVR as running? Can you click open to view the settings from there?
Yes, I am able to get into my QNAP desktop and go into App Center where I see Channels DVR 1.0.3 Running. But when I click open it tries to take me to http://192.168.1.173:8089/ which comes up with the error saying it cant connect to the server.
Now when I actually open channels, the DVR portion is no longer present. Just the live TV. Should I try to remove the DVR then reinstall the DVR?
That fixed it. I actually just restarted the DVR again and Iām good. Thanks for your help.
Does the Log tab of the DVR show any errors or crashes when you scroll up?
No errors that i see. I did see it said recording engine stopped, then goodbye. There was no activity again until I just restarted the DVR in the QNAP app
Sounds like someone shut it down via the QNAP interface then..
