My recording of NCIS failed

My recording of NCIS failed. Is there a way to find out why?

I clicked on View Recording Log and it said:
loc=188 pkt=2 pid=480 what="pat_and_pmt" offset=0 length=376 contiguous=true changed=true packets=2

The file it produced was only 46.6 MB instead of 3.5 GB. VLC won't even play the fragment.

Look at the main dvr log and post the SNR log line

What's the SNR line from your DVR logs for that recording?

(Without further details, we're assuming this is an OTA recording. If not, I believe it's local to you. My Locast based recording of this evening's NCIS was fine, with no errors. If not, it may be dependent on your Locast area; mine is Los Angeles.)

Not sure how to do that. I have the DVR installed on a Windows 8.1 machine. Is it the channels-dvr.log file? It was too big to open in Notepad++

I'm new to troubleshooting the DVR. The recording was from a Prime. I'm surprised their were no red flags shown on the website.

Click the top right of the page where it says Log

Well, duh to me. I'm surprised I didn't see it there. Looks like it's only getting today's info.
