My Synology server died and I am spinning up a new NAS which is QNAP. So I can not do a restore from a back up. What are my options to build a totally new server and kill off the Synology server in the UI admin.
Have you tried to pull the Synology drives and put them in an appropriately sized usb enclosure and plug them into a pc to rescue the data?
I put the new drives directly into the new synology and created a totally new RAID group. So the Synology is out of the picture totally.
