MyCloud Home transcoder not working with SD channels

I'm having the same issues, but with the Web Player and Android App. Also, I am running the Hardware Decoder now to get the working HD channels to stream without constant buffering.

All was working before the last update a few days ago. Running a HD Homerun and WD MyCloud.

What issue are you having on the web player, and what issue on the Android app? What version of the app is installed?

The web player and the Android app are both having issues with transcoding the SD channels. Very much the same as the Firestick did before the fix was issued.

The web player states the transcoder has started, but then hangs up. My HDHR log shows that the correct SD channel is tuned as normal.

My Android app version is 2.1.12. This just updated today. Some of the SD channels are back. The only ones missing seem to be from stations that are totally SD broadcasts, without an HD channel on their ##.1 Very odd

Thanks for your time

Some SD channels are missing from the list?

All of the channels are listed, but they just will not tune.

First check and make sure your FireTV is set to Home Streaming Quality Original.

What exactly happens when you try to tune into an SD channel? Please submit diagnostics from the app after the issue occurs.

For those channels having problems, can you tune them in the official HDHR app on the same FireTV?

The FireTV devices is functioning great since the last update.

I can tune all of the channels without issue using the HDHR app.

My Android phone app and the web players are the problem. I have tried different browsers with the same results. When I select an SD channel, such 6.2, the transcoder says that it is starting. That is as far as it goes. On the Android app, it says "Playback Failed". On the web player, the "Transcoder Starting" message remains and the circle in the window spins. I eventually close it out. I can tune the HD channels. No problems there.

Here's the web player log:

Which Android device? Are you trying this at home, with Home Quality set to Original? The experience should be the same as the FireTV.

Please submit diagnostics from the app after seeing Playback Failed message.

No problems at home. Only seems to happen away from home. At first, I thought that it was a bandwidth issue. Since I can watch HD channels, this didn't look likely.

I have submitted two logs from the Android phone app.

Can you try rebooting the MyCloud Home?

I did a reboot a few days ago. No change.

If you try to record something from that program and then play the recording in the Web Player, does it have the same issue?

Yes it does.

I tried many SD channels here via my MyCloud Home and they're all working.

Can you try updating your DVR to the latest version by click-and-hold on the Check For Update button?

And can you email the recording you made off the SD channel which didn't play to [email protected]

Problem solved. I got the latest version installed and it works. In fact, all channels (HD/SD) are playing back almost instantly.

Thanks for your help!!
