I have been experiencing PIP issues for some time which appear to be similar to those described on this thread. I've been doing some experimenting, and my issue seems to be pretty conisistent and easily reproducible. I have experimented with AppleTV remote, TV remote via hdmi and sofabaton. I have colour button shortcut setup to navigate to EPG
I have PIP setup to trigger 'always', and use the following general steps:
1 - Open channels and start watching live TV
2 - Navigate to EPG which triggers PIP
3 - Attempt to exit PIP - fails to work correctly. Depending on how you attempt to exit PIP, you either get:
a - left looking at EPG with sound in background
b - PIP window freezes and rest of screen goes black followed by a channels app crash
The bit that I find interesting is that although the problem manifests itself at step 3, it appears that step 2 determines WHETHER the problem arises.
If I do step 2 by clicking '<' on the AppleTV remote, the 'back' button on the TV remote, or the 'back' button on the sofabatton, there is no problem at step 3
If I do step 2 using the colour button shortcut on the TV remote or the sofabatton, the problem always arises on step 3.
I also have a colour button shortcut setup on the TV remote & sofabaton that jumps to the recordings screen instead of EPG (also triggering PIP), and the same problem occurs when this shortcut is used.
