Please donā€™t use optware or entware for the package, installation of that on synology renders it unsupported by synology :frowning:

Id love to see support for unraid (docker)

What about a server with DAS?

I currently use a Mac with attached storage for all my data needs in the house, including SageTV recordings, music, etc.

I have gotten incredibly better throughput with this setup over QNAP/Synology in the past.

Macintosh OS X 10.11, thunderbolt attached storage, 1000bT enet

QNAP TS-563 (AMD quad-core with up to 16 GB of DDR3-1600 RAM)

Please donā€™t use optware or entware to package DVR engine as this will render synology NAS units unsupported by Synology.

Planning to buy a Synology RS815+ very soon

QNAP TS-653 Pro Quad Core Celeron (Intel) with 24 TBā€™s (4 TB/disk); three storage pools;
I could easily create a dedicated storage pool of 1-2 TB for dev work; could isolate the storage from my production pools;Iā€™ve been a QNAP user since mid 2009 and have never lost a byte of data; priceyā€¦yesā€¦ but
as NAS devices go youā€™d have to buy a Netapp box to have something better IMHO; I also have a backup NAS TS-639 which I would prefer to use for dev work as it is sitting idle right nowā€¦it has the latest QNAP firmware installed but is a two core and somewhat slower machine with raid 5 than the 653; it has 3 TB disks installed; both machines have WD ā€œREDā€ NAS certified disks installed which will not time out and drop a disk if a bad block is found

Iā€™m using a Synology DS1512+

I too would like to see something for unRAID.

Mine is a - Synology DS215j

Please include the new My Cloud Pro NAS. WDBBCL0000NBK

Synology 213+

I got a Synology DS412+

Home built NAS running Ubuntu 14.04 X86_64 on an 8 core IntelĀ® Atomā„¢ CPU C2750 @ 2.40GHz

It wasnā€™t on the poll, but Iā€™m running a Drobo 5N and would love to be running Channels DVR there as well.

Has a solid number of other Drobo apps that are easy to run, such as Plex, ownCloud etc.
