Due to all of the ransomware going on I'm moving my Channels DVR and other items on my NAS over to a U59 to test it out. If that isn't enough umph for all that I want to do then I will order an intel nuc with an i5. The 1019+ hasn't given me any problems with the server. I'm just thinking security at this point....and of course recoverability 
I have been using the U59 for about 5 months. I am still just using the Windows 11 Pro that was installed. I am using a 4TB Westen Digital portable hard drive which everyone thinks is less than ideal, but I haven't had any problems. I used that same drive on my previous DVR, a Tablo for 3 years.
I’ll still use my synology as my storage for right now.
