I can't seem to find a way to copy TV file to new server. My files are on an external MyBook USB drive. I can't find a way to copy the file with my recordings so I can move it to a new server. I can locate the file but can't copy it. Moving from Pi to Windows.
What happens when you try to copy? Any errors?
Nothing. When I right click I cannot get anything. The copy function doesn’t do anything.
I don't have an answer, but it sounds like you're using Windows to move your file from a Raspberry pi?
I know there have been issues with using SMB file sharing between Windows and the rpi
Maybe try to copy in a command prompt window?
At least, it might give you useful error messages. 
I need help in getting access to the the files that are stored on the MyBook which is plugged into my Raspberry Pi. i can get into the settings through the Raspberry's IP address. It shows the path to the files but not how to access them.
Turnoff the pi, unplug the drive, and plug it into your computer. It will mount and you can pull files off of it.
