So I created a VM with my Dell
Got everything going except storage. I have a 1tb and 2 600HD and a 250HD connected for my storage and my storage path set for the main 1tb. Why is it not showing my others that are set up as backups as available storage?
Because recordings are only made on the primary storage, it's the only one where the available storage matters to Channels.
Extra storage paths are where Channels can look to find a recording in its database if it cannot find it in the primary path.
so how do I get more storage involved then?
can i move them over then or transfer them over?
To use additional storage paths, you must manually move recordings from your primary storage path to one of your additional storage paths. Be sure to keep the same directory structure.
There is no present method to have Channels itself migrate your recordings to an additional storage path; that part is up to you.
