Couldn’t reach Channels web page; Had to reboot Synology to avoid ‘Channels already started’ error even though Synology Packages app indicated Channels was stopped. After Channels restarted I tried selecting several different paths but believe /volume1/Channels DVR is the correct one. I needed to disable DVR function under settings in order to be able to change the path and then re-enabled DVR. After re-enable, selected tuner, entered zip code and it appears it remembered my favorite channels.Guide data comes up ok but the Recordings, DVR Passes and Recording Schedule are missing (although the channels directory structure and files are all still there). Any idea on how to restore these? I did add a new drive to the NAS the other night to extend capacity; Would the Synology “repair” function while Channels was running result in a corruption?
I found SSH steps in the forum to restore from a backup; Should I try that?
If you have the DVD path listed as the root for all your recordings and all the files are there, you should be able to go to http://x.x.x.x:8089/restore and restore everything
I have noticed that some people enter the path on the website as the channels-dvr directory when it’s the root recording dir.
Many thanks; That did the trick; I was confused at first because I was selecting the backup file in the initial popup dialog when I needed to just select the backup folder. The second dialog allowed me to choose the backup to restore from. Thanks again.
