Netgear ReadyNAS 212 - Any thoughts?

Currently my HDHomerun tuner and channels works GREAT streaming to my Apple TV. I was thinking of getting Channels DVR also. I currently have a Plex Server which works flawless for streaming content to both my Apple TV and Roku boxes. However the Plex Live TV would also stutter or buffer or even worse randomly make me restart the Plex service in order to watch live TV on my Apple TV. But that all changed when I took a chance and got Channels. As my previous posts say, Channels is GREAT and it resolved my Live TV issues. Since the Roku boxes require trans-coding, I was thinking of getting a Netgear ReadyNAS 212 and throw Channels DVR and Plex on there. Everything is hardwired ether-net.
Does anyone use a Netgear ReadyNAS 212 with either Channels DVR or Plex? If so can it transcode from my HDHomerun tuner without issues? Are can anyone else suggest something in the same price range?

Thanks again !!!

The ReadyNAS 212 is several years old, and has an ARM processor which cannot reliably transcode live tv.

I’d recommend something with an Intel Celeron processor for best results.

Where do you currently run Plex?

I’m running a Plex Server on a QUAD CORE AMD with 32 GB RAM on my Ethernet network. Plex Live TV and Emby Server NEVER worked reliably with Apple TV or Roku. But your GREAT Channels app saved the day for my Apple TV at least.
