New channel in lineup

Hi,

Xfinity has added a new channel to our lineup: WGN America. The new channel shows up in my DVR, but I get no station logo, nor guide info for the new channel. I’ve even deleted and re-downloaded the guide database, but the data doesn’t show up. Am I missing something?

Click Scan Network in the DVR web UI first, and make sure the channel shows up in the list underneath your HDHR

The channel does appear on my HDHR Prime, and shows up in the guide on Channels, but I cannot get the DVR to download any logo or guide info for it.

From the DVR web UI: Settings > Guide Database > Maintenance > Delete and Recreate Database. This will ensure that everything is fresh and up-to-date.

Also, make sure that you have force-stopped/quit your client applications and relaunched them after updating the DVR server. The clients don't always pick up new/removed channels, and the guide may get stale.

I did delete and recreate the database, but didn't force-quit the app on my FireTV. I'll give it a try again later and report back.

So, this evening, I force stopped the FireTV app, and deleted the cache and data. Then I went and deleted and rebuilt the database on the server. Once I started up the app again, I could finally see the WGN America logo, and see the program info in the app. However, once I added my DVR IP address back, the channel info disappeared again, and I can’t see any guide info for the channel.

As a test, I quit the app, and cleared the data again. After opening the app, I can see the guide info again. But sure enough, as soon as I add the DVR back in, the guide data disappears.
