A new beta build is available via TestFlight:

  • NEW: Latest stable firmware for HDHR devices.
  • IMPROVED: Remote streaming will buffer 2s before beginning playback.
  • IMPROVED: Support for closed captioning in Australia.
  • FIXED: Legacy tuners will try to guess HD channels based on call signs.

This build includes major updates to the video decoding and playback libraries. Please test and report any issues on the forum.

In particular, please test playback of any H264 channels to ensure they work as expected.

Do we need a new invite? My previous beta expired.

Looks like Apple has decided to review the beta first… the invites should go out in the next day or so once they approve.
