New Install, Failed to discover router

I’m trying to setup Channels DVR on a Synology NAS. It installed fine. I’m not able to get “Remote Access” working. I’ve added port forwarding to my router, but still, not working.

Does remote access have to work in order for Channels DVR to work? Because even thought it’s installed, and I’ve specified a location for recordings, if I go the DVR section on Channels the apple tv, it still tells me that I need to go to http://my-ip:8089/ to complete the setup.

Any suggestions?

If you added port-forwarding rule yourself, you can leave the Remote Access option unchecked.

That feature is not required to use the DVR. To finish setting up the DVR, click the “Add” button underneath your HDHR on the DVR web UI.
