Channels app should consider a different layout. Seems to overwealming when looking at tv shows or movies. The UX/UI should change to show less things with options to change views. Something like Emby….
Or keep the current view and allow for smaller album art and have the categories before anything.
The design just seems out of place.

Enhanced Genres do seem to work on Android. EX. If I pick a Genre nothing happens. Library -Movies-Genres-Drama

there is limited support for kodi - there are kodi themes that may be more up your alley
