New OTA DRM Boxes

Are any of the newer boxes who are certified like the GTMedia X1 or others compatible with Channels DVR?

Compatible how? They're not network tuners so you can't use it like a HDHR unless you have a HDMI encoder

None of the ATSC 3 boxes are streaming boxes, so they would need to be "brought" into Channels with an encoder. Several of these boxes run on an Android OS which could potentially be used with ADB commands to tune channels. That being said, the reviews I have seen on the new boxes are not good. If the updates to them ever provide for a good experience, someone will buy one to test it and see if it can be used with ADB or if they have locked the user out of the Android system. I would personally wait on a network streaming box to be released that supports DRM. Until then, it's too much of a gamble even tinker with them.

Thanks!

so if atsc 1 is sunsetted in a few years gtmedia x1 / zapperbox is our best bet with hdmi tuner?

Who knows what will be available. They have butchered the ATSC 3 rollout.

they don't care. they want to migrate to atsc 3 to use less spectrum and sell off a lot of the atsc 1 spectrum to wireless companies and DRM it up. does ah4c work with the boxes with hdmi drm blocks?
