cool - the 4 tuner one looks pretty good to me. i have 2 of the older HDHR Extend units and the fans are really noisy (and make very annoying pulsing sounds). having both online at once is capable of driving a man to madness. would be very happy to retire those if these are quiet!
The redesigned fanless EXTEND is quite nice. I think SD still offers a case-swap for a small fee if you send your HDHR to them.
The 4-tuner QUATTRO looks pretty awesome. But keep in mind that there’s no built-in transcoder like the EXTEND.
interesting. i had arranged an RMA right after i bought them, and then never sent them in. didn’t know about that case redesign, i’ll have to look into that.
i never use the transcoders anyway… i only bought that particular model because IIRC that was the dual-tuner option at the time.
I just wish I was closer to a real city. Oh well, maybe when I move next summer I’ll be in an area with good OTA.
