I guess it depends whether it's submitting over ipv4 or ipv6. I looked through all the recent submissions and didn't see anything that matched. But I don't know when it was submitted, from what device model, the name of the device, the local network IP or anything else.

Found it. The Apple TV only has IPV4 connectivity.

Is that an app issue? It has an IPV6 address. It can reach my plex server. I can also confirm that it sees the DHCPv6 server in the network settings

Actually it does this IPv6 assigned to the interface:

But the OS is still unable to resolve the dns and connect.

There's nothing we can do in our app AFAIK. We ask the OS to connect to the server and it either does or returns an error.

Only guess I have is it's something to do with the dns settings on that appletv or that network router.

And I can't change the DNS servers to google for v6 on the appletv either....

Don’t rely on commercial dns, roll your own. I have two on my network using docker. You will be your own upstream dns and not rely on any companies shenanigans. Oh, and it’s really fast.

I updated her ATV4K to a google IPV4 DNS 8.8.8.8....after I did that her client was able to connect. Lets see if that fixes things.

@tmm1 I got a static IPV4 from my ISP. Can you update me back to IPV4 settings?
